The United Jesusonians: Bio

Maria Eileene LeBaron

I was born on July 30, 1968. I grew up mostly in the Chicago area until I moved to Utah to marry David LeBaron in 2001. I am a mother of 5 children, ages 5-18. I run a business with my husband called "Appliance Connection."

I have been a Urantia book reader for almost 30 years, since the age of 10. Even before finding this new revelation to our world, I was conscious of my Father within. A growing understanding had already begun, only to be confirmed by the reading of the Urantia Book.

I am an advocate for ending the Death Penalty in the United States. I work on the Death Row Speaks web site (http://www.deathrowspeaks.info) as well as run the forum there. I write to Death Row inmates and hope to someday minister to them in a more personal way.

I am working towards my Master's Degree in Social Work at Weber State University here in Utah.

I am also a Big Sister for the organization Big Brothers, Big Sisters. I highly suggest that everyone look into this volunteer program and participate in some way to help families get reseeded. Our youth are our future and it takes a village!

Currently, my mission is to work with others to bring Spiritual Unity to the Urantia Community...and beyond. To that end, I have created a UB forum, called Urantia Unity, that is progressive in being truly self-governing and all-inclusive. My personal mission is best said in this quote found in the Urantia Book.

195:9.4 Religion does need new leaders, spiritual men and women who will dare to depend solely on Jesus and his incomparable teachings. If Christianity persists in neglecting its spiritual mission while it continues to busy itself with social and material problems, the spiritual renaissance must await the coming of these new teachers of Jesus' religion who will be exclusively devoted to the spiritual regeneration of men. And then will these spirit-born souls quickly supply the leadership and inspiration requisite for the social, moral, economic, and political reorganization of the world.

I hope we can all spur a new movement of true spiritual unity that will continue to grow inward and upward.
