The United Jesusonians: Spiritual Unity

I think that this lifetime is about awareness. We slowly but surely become more and more aware of reality ... of deity ... of ourselves ... of others ... of our relationship to the universe.

So often we focus on growth. We look for ways to become more spiritual, more intelligent, and more experienced. But none of this can even start without awareness. We must be aware of who and what we are in each moment. We must then accept this truth as we in turn reach out in desire to become more than what we are.

When we choose to open up to and reach out to spirit in this quest, we will be changed. When we are left to our own devices, we will be fooled. I am aware of my weaknesses as well as my strengths. I know that I owe all that I am that is good to Father. All that I am that is not so good, is due to my human stubborness. Much I have held onto without much clue as to why. Perhaps this lack of awareness is why.

Patterns of behavior learned in childhood often molds us long into adulthood. Becoming aware of these patterns and seeking understanding as to why they were useful then and how they were established, allows us to fully surrender them to Father as he replaces them with newer and better patterns. Often such patterns can be easily seen by others, while we remain blind to them ourselves. Even having them pointed out does not create the awareness needed for change. This awareness I am talking about must come from spirit.

So often when we come into an awareness of such things, we also become discouraged. We are now face to face with our own frailities and it can loom down upon us. But if we see awareness as the open door to change, we can feel encouraged. Once made aware, Father can now work change within us. As long as we remain blind, not much can be done for our cooperation is required.

When an awareness leads to an awakening of higher realities, we can say that we are experiencing enlightenment. Stepping up the ladder one rung at a time, we are afforded the changes which open doors to even further change. But one step at a time is the key. No one can expect to jump over the entire ladder or skip steps and make it to the top. Skill must be established in order to ensure such changes are permanent ones. Rushing only brings forth mistakes and falls and temporal success.

Instead of spending our time looking to become more aware of others weaknesses and faults, we ought to seek within for a greater awareness of our own. In doing so, we may better shine the light upon another so that they may come to their own awareness. Often when we point out the faults and errors of another, we only serve to enhance their own blindness. Such mechanisms as defensiveness cloak reality and shadow the truth.

It is time for us each to ask ourselves how we can become more self aware while encouraging our brothers along this same journey. How can we love one another without attacking and correcting and intimidating? All of these tactics are survival techniques that may have served a purpose while we were growing up. But shouldnt they now be replaced by a better way?

Everyone has a purpose in life. This is defined by one's life experience as well as by the lessons learned as we are spirit led.

We must work to develop and grow all that has been given to us. Be it inborn talent or lemons in life that have been turned into lemonade, we must allow ourselves to be defined not only by where we have been but by where we desire to be based on our life lessons.

We can take all the strife and struggle and learn the lessons that many have not learned. We can apply spirit creativity so as to reach out and lead others down a similar path. We can show others that they are not alone in their adversity. We must lead others to Father so that they may see clearly how to transform themselves in His image...by following Him and only Him.

Those who are given adversity, challenge, and supposed disadvantage actually are sitting on a gold mine of opportunity. So much is to be learned and valued from the experiences of being determined and resilient. A positive faithful outlook can take any challenge that may represent doom and gloom and redirect said challenge into a portal of hope for others.

We are all unified in this temporal life by our adversities...our differences...and our challenges. We are also unified each time we take something that at first represents a negative and working with spirit to turn it into a positive.

In this we find our inner strengths and purpose. In sharing with others, we allow them to see the strength and purpose also within themselves.

I think it all needs to go right back to the family institution. This is the seed that needs replanted. From the family, education begins as well as the life lessons that teach us that we are all children in the family of God.

I do activism for the cause of removing the death penalty in the US. I have done extensive personal research on the criminals who end up in prison. People are not just born criminals. People are all not born wired wrong. We need to start taking personal responsibility for every person born and how they are raised. When we neglect our children or abuse them...even in the most seemingly mild of ways...we are contributing to the very problems that are filling our prisons today.

We need to reach back into the family. We need to connect early on and continously with each child and stay connected. We need to help our children form their own identities and self worth. We need to help them grow their character and sense of true eternal value. We have to assist them in their search for a purpose. We need to reveal Gods love to them through our own. We need to teach children life skills and teamwork. We need to incorporate the teachings of Jesus into their everyday lives. We need to RAISE them versus just throwing the seeds into the garden and letting nature take its couse. We need to be active participants in the raising up of our children. For when we do, great things happen.

Gangs are being formed today because children are being raised without families....without a safety net...and without security. Gangs and other such groups have sprung up to counteract that issue. Another issue is the lack of fathers in our childrens lives. So many people either get divorced or never get married in the first place. And still more are purposely raising kids without the need for a father. And of course not all situations allow for the ideal of a mom and dad...but we need to reach for the highest ideal when and wherever possible...for the sake of the children.

There is also too much neglect in the form of *freedom* in this country. Children should not be given personal freedoms without acquired responsibility. Too often our children are left to grow up on their own out of convenience and they take on too much of this world too fast. Drunken driving, teen pregnancy and drug experimentation prevail because of this. Teens are still children. They even have a greater need of guidance and involvement as they enter the stages of their life where they cling ever closer to home while also seeking to leave the nest and become independent. This is a rough time. But leaving them to it because they look and often act like adults, is a huge mistake. Now is the time to remain in communication and involvement. Close guidance is critical.

All we have to do is take a real look into those people now in the criminal system. There are now so many very young people sitting on death row. Their lives are wasted. Could they be salvaged? By the time their sentence is finally carried out...often 12-25 years has gone by. They are quite often very different people...if not also behind still emotionally and socially. But where is our responsibility even now? Why dont we work harder to salvage these lives when we can? Why dont we seek to give these children what they did not get while growing up which caused them to even see this path as a choice in the first place? We also need to set up a system for reperations...a way for people to honestly give back to all they have hurt. But right now, for the most part...prisons are a place to further remove one's humanity. In fact, prison becomes a place to connect with other criminal minds so that upon release, for those lucky enough to be released, a whole new course on criminal behaviors has been affectively taught. Where is our responsibility with this? We are not adding to the solution...we are quite often adding only to the problem.

We need to wake up as a society. We need to reestablish the family. And we need to reach out to all in need who now find themselves in the criminal system. We cannot wash our hands of them because their choices have hurt, mamed, or killed others. We need to rehabilitate those that we can...in a real and lasting way. That means rethinking our entire system.

Those that act without love....need love the most. Those of us who have been called to reveal the Father's love to man...really need to step up and start doing so...where it is needed the most.

Each person needs something diffrent. And some are not open to receive even though they say that they are. Are you willing to work with Father's leading and reach out to these people? Just one? What might you learn? These are Father's children. Some of them made horrid choices...some were in the wrong place at the wrong time...and some should not even be in prison. Regardless....they all need Father's love.

Part 2

Who here has children in their lives? Well most of us do one way or another. Many of them need extra guidance and hope and love. Doing the most simple of things can make a world of difference in the life of a child...which in turn can create a desire to give back when they are older.

Just a few things we can look into doing:

Working with disadvantaged children...through prison systems.

Foster care

Big brother or sister programs

Volunteering in our school systems...tutoring

Church youth groups

Scouts


What is right for you? Go within and pray for Father's guidance on this. And it will come. We will be prepared to reveal God's love to others by means of accepting it for ourselves. We have to PRAY and ask for healing and spiritual growth. And then we have to move forward in the lessons given...and start giving back to those around us.

It is sad and disgusting that there are so many people who have had to fight and climb to get out of the pits of hell they were born into. And we do have to reach out to them...let them know its not just them...they are not alone...and that they are loved and valued. And then show them what they can become in Father. One person at a time.

Not everyone can be *saved* because not everyone wants to be. Once someone completely gives up on themselves...its hard to get through. But most are crying out for help....and many are just whispering because they are tired of yelling. We have to find them and work with them. We have to lead them to Father and help them to help themselves.

Do not ever think that one small kind act is not so important. They are ALL important. I remember the smallest of things as being the most important. I remember the nurse who sat by my bed to talk with me before surgery. It was just a few minutes of her time. But for me...it was everything. Because my parents were not able to be there for me as I got ready to undergo my first 19 hour operation. That nurse was like an angel from heaven. And to this day it affects me.

Each person you touch with Father's love is changing this world for the better. Want to do more? First become educated in what is truly going on with our children, families, abuse, gangs, the justice system, mental/personality disorders..etc. And then look within and ask to be healed of all that stands in your way of being able to reach out to others. And all of this will be done with Father at the helm...often simultaneously.

One person at a time...leads to one family at a time...leads to one country or society at a time. The leaders are right under our nose. We ARE those leaders. Lead....people to Father. Nothing is more powerful than that imo.

195:10.11 Christianity is seriously confronted with the doom embodied in one of its own slogans: "A house divided against itself cannot stand." The non-Christian world will hardly capitulate to a sect-divided Christendom. The living Jesus is the only hope of a possible unification of Christianity. The true church—the Jesus brotherhood—is invisible, spiritual, and is characterized by unity, not necessarily by uniformity. Uniformity is the earmark of the physical world of mechanistic nature. Spiritual unity is the fruit of faith union with the living Jesus. The visible church should refuse longer to handicap the progress of the invisible and spiritual brotherhood of the kingdom of God. And this brotherhood is destined to become a living organism in contrast to an institutionalized social organization. It may well utilize such social organizations, but it must not be supplanted by them.

170:5.20 It is just because the gospel of Jesus was so many-sided that within a few centuries students of the records of his teachings became divided up into so many cults and sects. This pitiful subdivision of Christian believers results from failure to discern in the Master's manifold teachings the divine oneness of his matchless life. But someday the true believers in Jesus will not be thus spiritually divided in their attitude before unbelievers. Always we may have diversity of intellectual comprehension and interpretation, even varying degrees of socialization, but lack of spiritual brotherhood is both inexcusable and reprehensible.

We CAUSE the division by our inability to discern spiritual unity even within the teachings of Jesus. Jesus didnt cause the division. Our lack of understanding truth does.

And even now...the UB isnt the problem...we are. Right now, people fail to really understand the truths within the teachings and dont live them in their every day lives. You can bring a horse to water but you canont make him drink.

We are called to reveal Father's love to our brethren...but of course...we would first need to KNOW that love for ourselves...which requires us to be receptive to receiving it.

Jesus is alive and his teachings are eternal.

And now we have another definition of spiritual unity! "Spiritual unity is the fruit of faith union with the living Jesus."

It is wise to seek out understanding of our fellow man by learning about various beliefs and religions. And while learning, we will come across many truths within those beliefs. Then we will be better able to build upon those truths and engage in meaningful conversation and eventually lead those who are seeking more...to more.

But we still cannot become spiritually unified within the Urantia community...which then limits our ability to reach out to others outside of this community. So we have much work to do. And it starts within. We have to be the living truth of Jesus...as we have to bring to life the very teachings that Jesus taught us if we are to ever truly reveal Father's love.

155:6.12 You must cease to seek for the word of God only on the pages of the olden records of theologic authority. Those who are born of the spirit of God shall henceforth discern the word of God regardless of whence it appears to take origin. Divine truth must not be discounted because the channel of its bestowal is apparently human. Many of your brethren have minds which accept the theory of God while they spiritually fail to realize the presence of God. And that is just the reason why I have so often taught you that the kingdom of heaven can best be realized by acquiring the spiritual attitude of a sincere child. It is not the mental immaturity of the child that I commend to you but rather the spiritual simplicity of such an easy-believing and fully-trusting little one. It is not so important that you should know about the fact of God as that you should increasingly grow in the ability to feel the presence of God.

Fully trusting...as a child. Thats what we have to become in order to recognize and appreciate and accept divine truth as it comes...no matter HOW it comes to us. Whether it shows up in the religion of another, in a belief system different than our own, in a book, on the tv, here on UBRON through the personal experience of a member, in our own spiritual experiences....we must remain open...trusting...as a child.

Much will be shown and given once we sincerely ask. And then we must also sincerely remain open and receptive to whatever may come. Once we put conditions upon it, Father has less avenues through which to work with us and connect to us. We must remain open and trusting. We cannot allow ego or our human nature and emotions to control just how open we will or will not be. We have to surrender entirely to the Will of our Father...always...and in each moment....allowing us to remain completely open to Him and to all truth.

Hold your arms open to our Father...extend them fully as a child who knows and trusts no other. Live only for Him..and in Him...and see how this brings you ever closer not only to our Father but to all of your brothers and sisters. Find true spiritual unity with all, as you keep the ONE front and center.

196:0.12 The faith of Jesus attained the purity of a child's trust. His faith was so absolute and undoubting that it responded to the charm of the contact of fellow beings and to the wonders of the universe. His sense of dependence on the divine was so complete and so confident that it yielded the joy and the assurance of absolute personal security. There was no hesitating pretense in his religious experience. In this giant intellect of the full-grown man the faith of the child reigned supreme in all matters relating to the religious consciousness. It is not strange that he once said, "Except you become as a little child, you shall not enter the kingdom." Notwithstanding that Jesus' faith was childlike, it was in no sense childish.

We must have the attitude of a child in regards to our total willingness to follow our Father in trust and in faith. Even the faith of Jesus was childlike. It was absolute and undoubting. He was dependent on the divine...completely and with confidence. And that gave him joy and personal security. He was indeed as we all should strive to be...a beloved child ever following in faith and with undying trust in our heavenly Father. We are God's little ones and in Him we will grow and become as He is...and yet..always will we be his children...brothers and sisters in the family of God.

p1592:1 141:5.3 "Your spirit unity implies two things, which always will be found to harmonize in the lives of individual believers: First, you are possessed with a common motive for life service; you all desire above everything to do the will of the Father in heaven. Second, you all have a common goal of existence; you all purpose to find the Father in heaven, thereby proving to the universe that you have become like him."

I do love this quote in that it does clearly define HOW we will be when spiritually united.

1. Spiritual unity means that we will ALL desire ABOVE ANYTHING ELSE to do the Will of our Father. That will always be front and center while all else takes a back seat.

2. Spiritual unity means that we have a common goal in our existance..which is to become like our Father in heaven, and in doing so, will find Him. I also think this is an eternal now kinda thing.

So....let yer mottos be..."I wanna be like Mike" and then... Just do it! every minute of every day. :-)

SPIRITUAL UNITY!

page 141:5.1 of the Urantia Book:

"... when did I teach you that you should all see alike? I have come into the world to proclaim spiritual liberty to the end that mortals may be empowered to live individual lives of originality and freedom before God. I do not desire that social harmony and fraternal peace shall be purchased by the sacrifice of free personality and spiritual originality. What I require of you, my apostles, is spirit unity—and that you can experience in the joy of your united dedication to the wholehearted doing of the will of my Father in heaven. You do not have to see alike or feel alike or even think alike in order spiritually to be alike. Spiritual unity is derived from the consciousness that each of you is indwelt, and increasingly dominated, by the spirit gift of the heavenly Father. Your apostolic harmony must grow out of the fact that the spirit hope of each of you is identical in origin, nature, and destiny."

4:4.9 The consciousness of a victorious human life on earth is born of that creature faith which dares to challenge each recurring episode of existence when confronted with the awful spectacle of human limitations, by the unfailing declaration: Even if I cannot do this, there lives in me one who can and will do it, a part of the Father-Absolute of the universe of universes. And that is "the victory which overcomes the world, even your faith.


26:5.3 That, then, is the primary or elementary course which confronts the faith-tested and much-traveled pilgrims of space. But long before reaching Havona, these ascendant children of time have learned to feast upon uncertainty, to fatten upon disappointment, to enthuse over apparent defeat, to invigorate in the presence of difficulties, to exhibit indomitable courage in the face of immensity, and to exercise unconquerable faith when confronted with the challenge of the inexplicable. Long since, the battle cry of these pilgrims became: "In liaison with God, nothing—absolutely nothing—is impossible."

Let it be known to all who will listen, there is NO MOUNTAIN that cannot be moved when we walk with our Father. All that appears hopeless is given new life through grace. All that appears impossible is made possible through faith. But we must CHOOSE to walk in faith with our entire being!! Our entire being!! And when we do so, it will feel as if we have just free fallen...after years of being afraid. It will feel FREE...and thrilling....new...exciting....But it will be REAL and DYNAMIC living! What have you got to lose? Try it...and dont stop. Really give it a go. You will not believe what happens when you do!!

Do not doubt, even for a moment, the spiritual power that is activated when we live in complete faith in Father. Doors open up that once never existed. The clouds and the stars move aside to make way for new paths to be etched in the skies of tomorrow. Ye of little faith...knows nothing but what is in your little mind lol... EXPAND!! Pray to experience this. Be sincere. Be willing to walk off of a plank with complete assuredness that Father and Mother will NOT let you fall. If you cannot muster enough faith for them...then for who?

It is with great excitement that I spread this message. For it is unfolding even now in my own life. It takes sincerity...constant communion...continual prayer....total surrender. Just ask and it shall be given!

1:0.5 Urantia mortals can hardly hope to be perfect in the
infinite sense, but it is entirely possible for human beings,
starting out as they do on this planet, to attain the supernal and
divine goal which the infinite God has set for mortal man; and when
they do achieve this destiny, they will, in all that pertains to self-
realization and mind attainment, be just as replete in their sphere
of divine perfection as God himself is in his sphere of infinity and
eternity. Such perfection may not be universal in the material sense,
unlimited in intellectual grasp, or final in spiritual experience,
but it is final and complete in all finite aspects of divinity of
will, perfection of personality motivation, and God-consciousness.

I believe this quote explains the calling to perfection that Father
has given us. It is truly a calling...or directive...to strive for
the human perfection that will result in Adjuster Fusion. Fusion does
not indicate a finish line for spiritual growth, experience, or
intellectual development. But it does signify a completeness...a
oneness...a UNITY with God's Will, personality motivation, and God-
consciousness.

Together, we can grow and strive for this perfection. In all that we
do and say, we can be spiritually unified. We can always take each
opportunity, with our brothers and sisters, to make the highest
choices. What will we do...how will we respond....what attitude will
we choose? And whatever we choose, in each moment, will have an
affect or influence on all those around us. We set many examples for
one another.

If we all come together in striving for spiritual unity, we will
encourage one another to always make the highest choices in all that
we do, think, and say.

How? Follow the teachings that Jesus clearly and repeatedly laid down
for us. And...follow the guidance of the spirit within.

Perfection...Adjuster Fusion....starts with a choice for spiritual
Unity.

About the important people connected with Jesus: like John The Baptist for example.

The man who baptized Jesus. He was pre-Jesusonian. He came before
his Master. He prepared the way. And when John was killed, Jesus
knew John would be gloriously rewarded in heaven. John really
sacrificed a lot for Jesus. The worst part was not hearing from Jesus
while John was in prison. His faith almost waned, but didn't.

Thank you for this quote Maria:

UB "What I require of you, my apostles, is spirit unity--and that you

wholehearted doing of the will of my Father in heaven. You do not have
to see alike or feel alike or even think alike in order spiritually to

This is the line I'm going to hold on to...

"You do not have to see alike or feel alike or even think alike in
order spiritually to be alike."

As Maria has said 37 and 247 million times (;>]) that the TA has the
answer for how to make spiritual Unity. She is listening intensely to
hers, she's intense but she's filled with JOY, in the hope that little
by little she can help us all find Urantia Unity. I think I know
Maria well enough now, to tell you with some authority that SHE'S
NEVER GOING TO STOP. THANK GOD!!

She just listed quotes about what it REALLY means to be a Jesusonian.
And, you know what, I don't care if people hear "Jesusonian" and
accuse me of being some type of Christian (which I'm not), it would
give me the perfect excuse to TELL THEM WHY I'M DIFFERENT:

1) The spark in my mind? Jesusonians know much more about the nature
and origin of this spark than any Christian would know. Why? Because
we are helped TO USE our TA, by seeing the way Jesus used his. Maria
does the same thing. She turns and discusses things with the Father.
Her constant advice for me is "ask within". Christians get a vague
image of a very beautiful dove, in a painting.

2) The soul in my mind? Jesusonians know that the soul is created by
the relationship between material mind and divine spirit. Through
experience and communion we can immortalize the soul. Ask a Christian
what exactly makes a soul "immortal"?.

3) The brain in my mind? A Jesusonian remembers the UB saying,
"Material mind is the arena in which human personalities live, are
self-conscious, make decisions, choose God or forsake him, eternalize
or destroy themselves." Fear causes some Christians to beg to be saved
in order to avoid eternal damnation in a fictional hell.

We remember this...

UB "Likewise, the Christian churches of the twentieth century stand as
great, but wholly unconscious, obstacles to the immediate advance of
the real gospel--the teachings of Jesus of Nazareth."

Here's a little quote I thought Maria might understand too, about a
recent conversation...

UB "As mind pursues reality to its ultimate analysis, matter vanishes
to the material senses but may still remain real to mind. When
spiritual insight pursues that reality which remains after the
disappearance of matter and pursues it to an ultimate analysis, it
vanishes to mind, but the insight of spirit can still perceive cosmic
realities and supreme values of a spiritual nature. Accordingly does
science give way to philosophy, while philosophy must surrender to the
conclusions inherent in genuine spiritual experience. Thinking
surrenders to wisdom, and wisdom is lost in enlightened and reflective
worship."

This is how I look at our efforts toward Unity. Pursuing reality
brings us first through physical theory. To find UNIFICATION in these
natural laws, one is inclined to look beyond science and metaphysics,
into the philosophy (in our case working to bring the organizations
together as close to being ONE entity as possible), and ultimately
ending in the Spiritual Unity of Personal Living Faith in God by doing
his Will--demonstrated by living and giving just like Jesus did. Not
just sitting around recalling stories of his life. LIVING HIS LIFE IN
OUR LIVES. Inversely, that is the Spiritual Unity inspiring
philosophy, which can unite science.

These are simple ideas, but ACTION NEEDS TO OCCUR IN ORDER TO SOCIALLY
LUBRICATE THEM (no giggling please). Maria is busy bringing you the
wisdom of Jesus (and living his life in hers). I am searching for
oneness in nature and WE WILL MEET IN THE MIDDLE OF A UNIFIED URANTIA
COMMUNITY WHEN WE ARE DONE! WE WILL NOT STOP.

I think it was Sandor that said, "Deeds over Creeds" (sorry if it
wasn't). And I say to that, "There can be no deed without a creed."
There is only one creed...one NEED...THIS IS THE TIME in case you
haven't heard, open your ears open your eyes: JESUSONIANS, UNITE!

There were reasons why I brought up the "New John The Baptist" when I
first arrived here
a couple months ago. I simply cannot believe I'm stupid enough to be
saying this, but: I strongly believe that the "New John The Baptist"
will be a person who gets involved with our efforts today to gather
our Urantia CommUnity. I suspect this because I know we will not
fail. And when we succeed (or begin to succeed) what seems small now
will become the mainstream ideology of the majority of UB readers.

We all know this quote...

UB "Sooner or later another and greater John the Baptist is due to
arise proclaiming 'the kingdom of God is at hand'--meaning a return to
the high spiritual concept of Jesus, who proclaimed that the kingdom
is the will of his heavenly Father dominant and transcendent in the
heart of the believer--and doing all this without in any way referring
either to the visible church on earth or to the anticipated second
coming of Christ. There must come a revival of the actual teachings of
Jesus, such a restatement as will undo the work of his early followers
who went about to create a sociophilosophical system of belief

I do have tunnel vision for whatever reason. I can only see two great needs. One...leading people to Father...the Father within. Two... re- establishing the teachings of Jesus in the hearts of men. It is IMPERATIVE that we heed the directives of Jesus. It is ESSENTIAL for growth and unity that we go within and LISTEN and FOLLOW the leading of our Father.

I do feel an urgency on this. Even as UBers we have become lax. Having the FER is not enough. We must strive to live the truths in our everyday lives NOW. We must reach out to one another with interest, seeking sincere understanding, so that we may grow in love for one another NOW. We must choose these things. Setting them on the shelf of a busy material life is not acceptable.

The Kingdom of God is within...(the TA)...and at hand...(The Time is NOW).

As we awaken to such truths and begin to incorporate them into our entire BEING, our lives will change for the better. Joy and peace will enter in new and living ways like never before. A spiritual balance will permeate our beings. Father's love will unite us all through our very actions.

Jesus/Michael is the WAY and the LIGHT. We must follow HIM. He left us with many teachings and directives ripe for today's living. He also left us with himself...his spirit. Together we can exchange our minds for his and learn to live as he would have us live. All we must do is sincerely choose to replace our old ways with the higher ways of our Master.

It is not about any new religion or cult. It is not about anything besides UNITY...about become the ONE that we already are in spirit. It is about coming together as the children of God. It is time to unite this family.

Christianity even now willingly goes the first mile, but mankind languishes and stumbles along in moral darkness because there are so few genuine second-milers—so few professed followers of Jesus who really live and love as he taught his disciples to live and love and serve.

140:8.11 3. Social attitude. The Jewish rabbis had long debated the question: Who is my neighbor? Jesus came presenting the idea of active and spontaneous kindness, a love of one's fellow men so genuine that it expanded the neighborhood to include the whole world, thereby making all men one's neighbors. But with all this, Jesus was interested only in the individual, not the mass. Jesus was not a sociologist, but he did labor to break down all forms of selfish isolation. He taught pure sympathy, compassion. Michael of Nebadon is a mercy-dominated Son; compassion is his very nature.

I think we all could show a little more mercy and compassion for our brothers and sisters. What might happen if we stopped and chose to act and respond in a more compassionate way? What if we reached out FIRST in compassion?

Jesus taught of an active and spontaneous kindness... a real love. It wasnt about stopping and thinking about it. It wasnt about deciding who deserved it and who did not. For we are to love ALL of our neighbors and to consider EVERYONE to be our neighbor...our brother...our sister.

We must become interested in each individual person. We must seek to understand each individual person. We must WANT to love each individual person. Regardless of what we agree with or disagree with...regardless of whether we like someone's choices...we must learn to love them.

Let us change our normal habits of response and strive to first respond to one another with compassion. Not always as easy as it sounds! But if we strive to make that our new habit of response to one another...we will be able to become merciful and compassionate as our Master is.

194:3.17 Pentecost was the call to spiritual unity among gospel believers. When the spirit descended on the disciples at Jerusalem, the same thing happened in Philadelphia, Alexandria, and at all other places where true believers dwelt. It was literally true that "there was but one heart and soul among the multitude of the believers." The religion of Jesus is the most powerful unifying influence the world has ever known.

And it still is.... If we take the directives of Jesus and apply them every day through each and every opportunity to do so, we will all be DOING something to bring forth UNITY.

141:5.2 "In this way you may experience a perfected unity of spirit purpose and spirit understanding growing out of the mutual consciousness of the identity of each of your indwelling Paradise spirits; and you may enjoy all of this profound spiritual unity in the very face of the utmost diversity of your individual attitudes of intellectual thinking, temperamental feeling, and social conduct. Your personalities may be refreshingly diverse and markedly different, while your spiritual natures and spirit fruits of divine worship and brotherly love may be so unified that all who behold your lives will of a surety take cognizance of this spirit identity and soul unity; they will recognize that you have been with me and have thereby learned, and acceptably, how to do the will of the Father in heaven. You can achieve the unity of the service of God even while you render such service in accordance with the technique of your own original endowments of mind, body, and soul.

So here it shows that Jesus taught that we could and should ALL experience spiritual unity. It doesnt even matter if we also experience diversity in our individual attitudes of intellectual thinking, our feelings, and/or our social conduct. None of that matters. UNITY can STILL BE ACHIEVED!

What is important is that our spiritual natures and spiritual fruits of divine worship and brotherly love are so unified. THAT will attract people to US and to this wonderful revelation that we so wish to spread.

When people see what this revelation has brought to us...they too will want a piece...or peace lol.. of that pie. More and more people will see the very fruits that are created and their benefits....all from learning to Follow the Father..His Will. We must teach by example. We must lure by example. We must have something that others WANT and NEED. And that is UNITY ....spiritual unity under our Father...God....unity that shows WE are all brothers and sisters in this family of God!

This will NOT be done as long as we continue to divide and conquer. Who will also put their name under the cause of Unity? Stand up with us...everyone...as we seek to come together as ONE. Leave your baggage at the door and bring with you only your desire to be ONE in Father. Let Father reap the harvest once this seed is firmly planted!

I think many of us are beginning a growing awareness that change needs to be embraced. Unity needs to be created in place of the existing division among all who truly believe in this revelation and its importance to our planet..to our people.

Alex, has his own vision of unity. And I have always had mine. I tend to focus on us leading people to the Father within...learning to follow Father's will...and connecting with one another in a growing understanding and UNTIY.

It seems like Alex and I are on the same page on all of this...which has been serendipitous to my return to UBRON.

I feel that more and more people want this...know that it is time to come together and work towards this with an urgency that will grow us like never before.

It is about the people..coming together in the teachings and truths found within the FER. It is about looking past our differences, real and imagined, past and present, and building upon our commonalities.

It is time to really take the teachings of Jesus to heart. We need to come together as a family...under God. And once we can do that as a community...the UB or FER community..others will be DRAWN to the revelation...to LIVING the very truths within the revelation.

How else do we think light and life will be achieved? It wont as long as we are divided and conquering...literally and figuratively. It is time.

170:2.18 Jesus taught that, by faith, the believer enters the kingdom now. In the various discourses he taught that two things are essential to faith-entrance into the kingdom:

p1861:3 1. Faith, sincerity. To come as a little child, to receive the bestowal of sonship as a gift; to submit to the doing of the Father's will without questioning and in the full confidence and genuine trustfulness of the Father's wisdom; to come into the kingdom free from prejudice and preconception; to be open-minded and teachable like an unspoiled child.

p1861:4 2. Truth hunger. The thirst for righteousness, a change of mind, the acquirement of the motive to be like God and to find God.

I have been working to find a definition of faith that truly allows me to *get it*... Here is another try based on the above quotes and my interpretation.

Faith is the sincere NON CONDITIONAL trusting of God the Father; the sincere NON CONDITIONAL choosing of His Will. In order for us to live in this active faith, we need to have the attitude of a small child who lovingly and NON CONDITIONALLY trusts and follows their beloved parent. No questions asked.

Why do we have trouble with this? Well, obviously we cannot do this with each other? Or can we? Should we? In many cases, we choose to trust our fellow man or even ourselves and are disappointed by disloyalty and deceipt. Well humans, no matter how well intentioned, are not perfect. But God our Father is. And he asks us to live in Faith. It is a gift to us...just as is forgiveness. Father has faith in us. All we have to do is accept it. We accept that by having faith in Him. We accept forgiveness by having sincere forgiveness for others.

All of these gifts are freely given once we are also able to freely give them. Even before. The bottom line is that we must choose to have an interest in those around us to the point that we want to understand them...which is the bridge to loving them. Everything seems to lead to that end...as well as begin with it. God wants us to learn to love ourselves and others...which shows our love for Him. Its all wrapped up together as one wonderful package. And its the gift that gives to everyone; God, us, and those around us. A win win situation.

I have many times looked back and seen how I *almost* lived in faith. I knew I was supposed to, I really wanted to..and yet I worried. And then, I see that everything turned out for the best...just as I had been *shown* it would. I was only asked to believe it without condition..without worry about WHAT would actually happen or why or how....Just live in FAITH that no matter what happened, it would be ok. For a girl with trust issues, this has been one of my biggest struggles. I understand faith in the intellectual sense. But I am working to experience it FULLY with each opportunity that presents itself. And they come...I am shown...and STILL I worry. Still I have faith sprinkled with a side of doubt and concern. FEAR. Wow I hate that stuff. FEAR is like oil in water. All it takes it a little bit to whack everything out. My goal is to learn to live in TOTAL FAITH sans fear. I pray I can do that and continue to do that, creating a new habit, a new way of living that only grows...and grows me. How much more joyful life would be once I can achieve that!

As many of you know, I have not been a big cheerleader for the Urantia Foundation in the past. But this is the time to change, to invite, to reach out, TO EXPRESS IDEALS and to struggle for their implementation.

I (and most of you, probably) just received their annual newsletter with information about what they did in the last year, and request for donations. This got me thinking--I know that's scary. :)

In my quest (and re-quests) for Unity, I am ready in my personal and public life to assert that the Foundation TRULY IS CHANGING FOR THE BETTER. Its current leadership are extremely competent and sincere in their desires to re-unify the UB Community.

Though they are still laboring under their "Declaration of Trust" for better clarity and an updated mandate, they are (albeit slowly) taking the steps needed to fulfill THEIR mission. To work with those who they (not the individuals there now, but past Boards) formerly alienated, is a BIG step and they should be commended for this. Their past tendency to be OVERLY cautious, to move at a snail's pace (which is a little unfair to snails), and to OVER-RATE their own self-significance is fading. They know that if they continue with overly ridged policies, and the really bad habit of suing their readership on a regular basis, they will be cast aside (which actually is almost the case now).

The last summit with Fellowship leaders also shows this desire for re-vitalization. Their mea culpas and ability to ADMIT that they have made mistakes, should not go unnoticed (as it is now largely going unnoticed).

For the last week or so I've been composing drafts for a letter (email) to the Foundation.

In this letter I will let them know about Mark's discovery (though I'm sure they've already heard by now) and to ask if they are aware of any different and more suitable numbers than what he has come up with for Havona--just to be sure; compliment them on their efforts "play nice" with other organizations; and offer a new "Declaration of Unity" for all Urantia organizations and readers.

I DESPERATELY want us all to be involved in the composition of this letter because I DO NOT want to speak for you (and am inadequate, not qualified or authorized in any way to do so).

But I have to be honest, composing an affective letter calling for Unity from US (the frequently feuding members of Ubron) has the admitted chance of sounding somewhat disingenuous. :-) However, if anyone IS interested in burying hatchets, swallowing pride (HUBRIS, actually), putting their own positions aside for a moment to stand indivisibly, and willing to accept unifying AT THE VERY LEAST for this ONE THING, at this ONE TIME...I WANT YOU!! [A call from "Uncle Chuck", not Sam.]

My straightforward question for you is: can we work together on anything? Mark, Allen, David, Edgar, Jacob, Ron Cyr, and the many people who silently read our posts and then email me from outside our public discussion, truly worked as a TEAM (poor choice of words ;->) on this question of the number of Havona worlds. Mark, who is probably one of the nicest, most modest and intelligent guys I have yet met (qualities that make him the perfect person to DESERVE credit for such an achievement--funny how things work, isn't it?), is a person (in my eyes at least) who truly is an ideal example of the "face" that our UB Community can show to the world.

Let's invest in this experience and try to repeat it on other fronts.

I'm not trying to embarrass you, Mark, and--knowing you--you'll be fighting to have yourself be taken down a peg. I'm just saying that what happened with this Havona project is NOT A COINCIDENCE. Surely you all can recognize this?? As I said both when I first joined here and in the Introduction of my theory. More of these discoveries and confirmations are on the way. We can do it. This is the time for success. We have lived too long with failure and discord. We have become complacent, ASSUMING that we are a bunch of disconnected UB'ers!

Can we rise to the occasion? Do we have the courage? Can we do what has never been done by this group or any other Urantia Book group?

We are at sail in an uncaring world (as Willy said, upon "...a sea of troubles...").

I have foreseen that the future WILL REMEMBER THAT I CALLED FOR THIS. But I hate feeling like the lonely voice calling out in the wilderness, in the darkness, for what you KNOW in your hearts and minds is THE RIGHT THING TO DO.

Regardless of whether I DO have support [by sending to me personally, or posting here at Ubron REASONS why YOU think the Foundation is GOOD for the community and why we need to be united with them and as many other groups as possible again--no criticisms will be included] for this letter to the Foundation (which some will see as futile--BUT IS NOT), I'm going to complete the letter and present it in the next few weeks. [What a terribly confusing sentence that was.]

As small and insignificant as I am, they DO know of me. They know how passionately I have fought against them in the past. And my sincerity in this change of heart toward them will (hopefully) be seen as a highly symbolic and genuine gesture. I have never communicated in any way with the Urantia Foundation--to the best of my knowledge. This is a BIG DEAL for me. But, I have no choice but to push on this. I WILL NOT STOP CALLING FOR UNITY. You will get sick of this, but still I will persevere in this quest. And I will deliver my letter with or without your help. Delivering it without your help would be "interesting", but still possible.

Besides my reputation--which is pretty sketchy to begin with--what do I (or we) have to lose------> BY TRYING?

I want the same thing for TeaM and even (God forgive me if I'm wrong) Gabe in AZ. Please try to appreciate what a change has come over me in this regard, and how hard it has been for me to turn the other cheek after years of being slapped and slapping back!

I'm no pacifist. I believe in non-violence, but (as you've seen) I'm quick to fight back (with words) when I believe a lot is at stake. What I'm proposing as a real cry for TOGETHERNESS, is against many things in my own nature. But it HAS to happen. And WE CAN do it. I'm here, ready to do the heavy lifting, willing, personally, to take the fallout, AND GIVING YOU THE OPPORTUNITY AT THIS TIME to show how truly Jesusonian we are.

We simply MUST come together. Every day that goes by without striving (ACTUALLY DOING IT RATHER THAN ESPOUSING TO DO IT) for a united Urantia Community is SERIOUSLY weakening us--ESPECIALLY in the light of coming events.

Am I the only person who feels this way? Won't any of my brothers and sisters help me bring our family back together. We don't have to agree on anything but WANTING to be ONE.

I'm not deluded by notions of flower petals suddenly falling from the sky, rainbows, sugary sweetness, and PEACE among us. But I expect more than what I see (from myself too) and that we should be able somehow the tend to these vast gaping wounds and poorly healed scars.

We cannot wait! We cannot wait! We cannot wait!...and by the way: WE CANNOT WAIT...any longer!!
